Monadnock Hemporium has been providing Cheshire County with alternative clothing and accessories since Sept '95. After harvesting 100,000 board feet of timber from my farm, I had to find a way to teach people about the alternatives to deforest-ation as well as fossil fuels and toxic cotton agriculture (the most toxic agriculture humans do), knowing that hemp is better way to make paper and building materials than from trees. I then became an active, progressive member of the Keene business community. And I'm hoping to one day get back to my sixty acre farm, set up a hemp grower's Co-op, and make American agriculture a viable economic industry

again by producing not only food but fuel (ethanol, bio-diesel and pyrolosis charcoals for industrial boilers and/or electric generation), building materials, bio-degradable plastics, paper and boxboard, cordage and fabrics and anything else currently made from trees, crude oil or cotton.
